Just on my second year storing Dahlia tubers for winter and so far they are looking good. I would admit, I did not have the luxury to check every single one of them, but I would like to think that as they are all in the same location, they would hopefully all be in the same condition.

If you would like to know a little bit about how I stored my Dahlia tubers this year, then please read on:

Storage location:

Attic/Loft

Method:

In a box filled with wood shavings ensuring there is enough space between tubers and they are not touching each other. Prior to to putting them away, I washed the tubers just to get rid of as much dirt as possible and left to dry for a few days to avoid mold and rotting.

Storage temperature:

Approximately 4-14°C

Storage humidity:

Approximately 70-75%

I would love to chat about dahlias so please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or advice, or would simply like to just chat too.
